Ama is the Group Compliance Officer at CHW in Bermuda. An Attorney admitted to the Courts of Botswana, she brings extensive experience in the financial services industry and has held executive roles as a trusted advisor to the Boards of some of Botswana’s leading Short-Term Insurance Underwriters. She is well known for successfully establishing the Governance department at Old Mutual Botswana, while also leading the Risk, Compliance, and Legal functions.

A passionate ESG enthusiast, she is recently was awarded her Diploma in ESG.

Career

Ama completed her pupillage in 2013 at Makuyana Legal Practice, focusing mainly on litigation. She then moved into the corporate world, serving as in-house counsel for Botswana Insurance Company, the country’s leading short-term insurance underwriter, and later for Old Mutual Botswana.
