Cheri Wainwright is an attorney with over eleven years of experience in a wide range of areas including employment law, immigration law, private client and trusts and regulatory.

Cheri specializes in employment and immigration law and advises on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment and immigration matters.

In 2021, Cheri was appointed as a member of the Employment and Labour Relations Tribunal.

Cheri was called to the Bermuda Bar in 2011. She completed the Legal Practice Course in Manchester England and graduated from the University of Law (formerly the College of Law) with distinction. She completed her LLB in Canterbury England and graduated from the University of Kent with honors. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Dalhousie University.

Cheri has previous work experience at other local law firms in Bermuda and also previously worked as legal counsel and group compliance manager in a local Bermuda insurance company.
