Fiona is a Director and Head of the Corporate Department. Having built a legal career in a number of leading offshore jurisdictions, she is recognised for providing pragmatic, commercially-focused advice and for guiding clients through complex cross-border legal and regulatory matters.
Her practice encompasses a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial work involving cross-border finance transactions, banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, regulatory and compliance matters, insurance and reinsurance, investment funds, and general corporate advisory work.
Career
Fiona was first admitted to the Bar in the British Virgin Islands, where she began her career in the Corporate and Commercial Department of an international law firm with a focus on the Far East. She has since practised in Anguilla, the Cayman Islands and Bermuda, advising local and international clients on a wide range of complex corporate and commercial matters. Fiona is also called to the Bar in Trinidad and Tobago and Antigua and Barbuda. Fiona holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from University College London.
In addition to her legal practice, Fiona serves on the boards of multinational companies and is a member of professional organisations including the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Bermuda Branch), the Institute of Directors, and 100 Women in Finance.
Fiona is a former member of the Human Rights Tribunal of Bermuda.
